I will be traveling alone with my son (age 8 and 50inches tall) and daughter (age 5 and 43 inches tall), can I wait in line with him and he ride the "bigger rides" by himself while we wait for him to get off?

    Hi Karrie,

Generally yes. Most rides will allow children age seven and up to ride alone, but this is done at the discretion of the cast members at the ride entrance. Just ask at the attraction. If your son can ride, then you and your daughter would be welcome to wait in the line with him and then leave just prior to boarding. There is an exit door just prior to the ride boarding area at most attractions.

However, before attempting this, I would work out two things:

    1. Is your son actually ready to go on the ride? For example, while even some five years olds are tall enough to go on Tower of Terror, there are many much older kids (and adults) who are not emotionally ready for this, especially alone. Just because he's tall enough to go on a ride doesn't mean he should.

    2. Be absolutely sure your son knows where to meet up with you after the ride. Perhaps equip him with a cell phone. Some ride exits are confusing and he may get turned around if things are crowded.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
