I am traveling with an active duty military member who gave me two of his discounted tickets, his brother who is also active duty offered to purchase me an additional 3 tix, but he will not be traveling with us. Would I be able to use those tickets?

Hi, Angela!  Armed Forces Salute tickets, a specially and significantly discounted ticket that is available to eligible members of the US Armed Forces, must be activated at Walt Disney World before they can be used at the turnstile.  Military members are limited to the number of tickets they can purchase and activate.  Currently, this number is 12, which has just recently been increased with the extension of this special offer through December.

The military member who purchases the tickets must be present when the tickets are activated.  The tickets are linked to a specific member of the US military so that Disney can keep track of the number of passes each service member purchases.  This keeps someone from going over their ticket allotment.

The military member you are traveling with may be able to purchase additional tickets now that the ticket limit has been raised from six to 12.  If you are all traveling together, that might be your best bet.  Unless his brother will be there to activate the tickets, however, you aren't going to be able to use those tickets.

For the record, the tickets can be activated any time before you use them, and they do not need to be used the day they are activated, or even on consecutive days.  If there is another day you can be at Walt Disney World with the brother, you can activate passes then.

I hope something works out for you!
