    We have traveled several times to South Africa's winelands and loved it. We are interested in checking out the wine list at AKL's Jiko. Is it possilbe to go and sit at the bar/ table and have appetizers and wine and not have to eat a huge meal?

    Hi Robert!

    Absolutely!!! You are welcome to visit Jiko (or any Disney World restaurant) for appetizers and wine. I would recommend that you make an Advance Dining Reservation for Jiko, as it can be quite popular. When you arrive, just let them know if you'd prefer to sit at the bar instead of a table.

    Also, if you're interested (and have a little time to spend at the Animal Kingdom Lodge), an afternoon culinary tour of both Boma and Jiko is offered most days. The tour brings your through both restaurants, where you are introduced to their offerings and even given a taste of an appetizer or two! Just check at the front desk for the current days and times that the tour is offered.
