How to travel from Shades of Green to American Gardens Theater for processional for shortest walk for children. We have Park Hopper tickets, can take Lyft or Ubers, but buses means 2 miles of walking from Bus Station to Processional

    Hi Barbara!

    Welcome back to planDisney!

To get from Shades of Green to Epcot, the bus that Shades of Green provides will drop you off at the Transportation and Ticket Center. From there, you will take the Monorail to Epcot, which drops you off right at the main entrance of the park.

From the Monorail station to the America Gardens Theatre, it’s about a 0.9-mile walk. To shorten the walk, you can hop on the FriendShip boat if it’s running; however, unfortunately, I cannot find a current operating schedule. The FriendShip boats run between the Canada pavilion and the Morocco pavilion, so you can always walk around the World Showcase in that direction to see if you spot them running or not.

If you’re worried about the walking distance for the kids and you have a stroller with you, you’re more than welcome to bring the stroller to the Candlelight Processional. There will be a designated stroller parking area near the America Gardens Theatre.

Another option would be to enter Epcot via the International Gateway (the back entrance to the park); however, that would require a little more planning to do so. To access Epcot through that entrance, you would need to come from one of the Epcot area resorts or via the Skyliner

If you’d like to take a rideshare to one of the resorts, you will likely need to show security proof of having a dining reservation at the resort. If you take the Shades of Green bus to Hollywood Studios, you can hop on the Skyliner there, but the Skyliner ride from Hollywood Studios to Epcot takes about 25 minutes and requires you to transfer gondola lines at Caribbean Beach. There’s also an option to take a boat from Hollywood Studios to Epcot, but it takes a lot longer since it makes a few stops along the way.

If you’re already planning to visit Hollywood Studios that day, it would work perfectly to park hop from Hollywood Studios to Epcot, though! That might be something to consider when planning your park days.

I hope that gives you some guidance to find what works best for you! Let us know if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!
