Hello here Machelle,
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for visiting us with your magical fur baby question. My family just returned from a trip to Walt Disney World, and the only bibbidi bobbidi bummer was how much we missed our dogs back home. They are truly members of the family!
Occasionally guests choose to travel to Disney World with their dogs, and some Disney Resorts are able to accommodate this for an additional fee per night, per dog. Guests will need to sign Disney's Dog Agreement, which states that dogs must be leashed when outside your room. Dogs are not permitted in pool areas, dining locations, or other indoor common spaces. However, although there are
four dog-friendly Disney hotels available, the maximum allowed is 2 dogs per room. This policy is the same at all four resorts. I discuss specific
resort fees and how to reserve a dog-friendly room in a previous guest response, which you can reference if it's helpful.
It's also important to note that emotional support animals are not considered
service animals under Disney’s policies or the ADA. So although emotional support dogs are allowed to stay in your hotel room, they will not be allowed in the theme parks, water parks, Disney Springs, or most public areas.
I have an alternative idea for you. Kennel services are available to board pets during your stay at a Disney Resort at
Best Friends Pet Care. They offer a variety of accommodations and are located across from Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside.
Machelle, I hope this helps and that you are able to arrange something that will work for both you and your sweet pups. Please send us any other questions at planDisney, we're happy to find your Disney planning answers.
Have a magical day!
Tami
