    Can you get transportation from the WDW resorts to downtown disney free of charge? Or would you have to take a taxi?

    There is free transportation from the Disney resorts to Downtown Disney. In most cases there are buses that run this route, but at Port Orleans, Old Key West and Saratoga Springs you can a boat to Downtown Disney.

    In case you were wondering ... While there is transportation from the resorts to Downtown Disney, there is no direct transportation from the theme parks to DD. If you wanted to get from a theme park to DD, the best strategy would be to take the free Disney transportation from the park to any resort (best to choose one that's either near the park or near DD) and then transfer to the DD transportation.
