Hi Lisa,
Your trip is just days away and I couldn't be more excited for you! You've made an excellent choice in accommodations at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge. I love the cozy fireplace in the grand lobby and all the shenanigans at
Whispering Canyon Cafe. I haven't had the chance to stay there just yet, but it's at the top of my list for next year's vacation.
As you know, complimentary transportation is available between the resorts and the theme parks. However, bus transportation is not available between resorts or directly to the miniature golf courses at this time. I reached out to a Cast Member who confirmed that you would also not be able to access
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf or
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf by bus via Disney Springs. But not to worry! They were able to suggest a few alternate options to get you from Point A to B.
The Cast Member I spoke with recommended taking the bus to
Disney's Hollywood Studios from Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Once there you could take the Friendship Boats to Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Hotels and then walk across to Fantasia Gardens. The Friendship Boats make stops at various Crescent Lake Resorts as they travel to EPCOT International Gateway, so you don't need to worry about being a guest at the Swan or Dolphin to exit the boat there. There is also a walking path directly between Disney's Hollywood Studios and the Swan and Dolphin Hotels if you feel up for a little stroll and a bit of fresh air.
Alternatively, the Cast Member recommended taking a bus to
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and then walking 15-20 minutes to Winter Summerland for golf. Magic Kingdom Park would provide the nearest bus transportation to Disney's Coronado Springs from Wilderness Lodge, but you could transfer through any of the theme parks to that resort.
Personally, I would opt for
Minnie Van Service or another third-party ride-share company to travel between Wilderness Lodge and your preferred miniature golf destination. As long as your travel party can comfortably fit in one vehicle, the convenience would likely outweigh the cost.
I hope this helps as you finalize your plans, Lisa. If I can offer any other guidance or answer additional questions please come back and let me know.
Magic and memories!
Amy
