Howdy Dan,
Great choice! You're in for a knee-slappin', foot-stompin' good time at
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue! Be sure to bring your appetite, too, since the fried chicken, BBQ ribs and strawberry shortcake are all-you-care-to-eat and they are so good!
If you're heading to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground for the show from Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, I'd recommend taking the complimentary bus transportation to Magic Kingdom as a first stop. Once you depart there, head toward the boat dock outside the park gates marked "Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground" on the overhead sign. That boat will take you right to the Settlement Area, where Pioneer Hall (and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue) are located. I'd recommend allowing yourself at least an hour and a half if you're going this way. Even if you arrive a bit early, you can spend the extra time exploring or visiting the
Tri-Circle-D Ranch.
If you happen to be at Magic Kingdom before heading to dinner, the route above is obviously the same one I'd recommend for you. If you're at Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios or Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, there will be buses running directly to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, so just look for that bus stop as you're leaving the park. I'd give yourself at least an hour to get from a park to dinner this way.
If you happen to be running a bit behind and need to get there faster, a cab is always another option, and you should be able to find one pretty easily from your resort or any of the theme parks.
I hope that helps and wishing you a magical vacation! Please stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel again if you have any other questions.
Beth
