Hi there Terry and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing up your great question, I'm happy to dig in and chat about all things transportation.
It looks like you'll be landing in Orlando in just a few days so let me fill you in on ways to get to the
Walt Disney World Resort. Wouldn't it be great if you had the same speedy superpowers as Dash from the Incredibles? It'll take a bit longer to arrive at your magical destination than it would for Dash but not to worry, it won't be too long!
If you're looking for a relaxing, but economical way to travel to your
Disney Resort Hotel, you can look into a shuttle service such as Mears Connect, Driven by Sunshine. These shuttles will take you and your luggage from the Orlando International Airport to the doorstep of your vacation-home-away-from-home for a fee. You can pre-book your ride directly through Mears by entering your flight information.
If flexibility is something you're looking for, there are ride-share services that can check that box! You can schedule a pickup through a downloaded app such as Lyft or Uber. After that, there's nothing more to do than collect your luggage and follow the signs to the pick-up area. You'll go directly to your resort whereas on a shuttle, you could have a stop or two before you reach your destination.
There's also the option of renting a vehicle. All Disney Resort Hotel Guests receive complimentary parking at both the Resorts and theme parks but you can still take advantage of the complimentary
Resort Transportation if you wish.
I'm sure you're going to have an incredible trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. If you're planning on heading to EPCOT, be sure to check out the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts with artistry in action, opportunities to create your very own art, or treat your senses to delicious food creations by the Food Studios. You won't be disappointed!
Terry, I hope these ideas are helpful, please let us know if you have any more questions for
planDisney.
See ya real soon,
Candace
