Hey there, Buckley!
Thanks for floating over to planDisney with your question. It sounds like you have plans to catch some waves at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park today, and I'm happy to talk through your transportation options. Let's dive in!
I reached out to a Cast Member regarding bus transportation between
Disney's Hollywood Studios and Typhoon Lagoon. While park-to-park buses typically begin running around 10 am daily, this does not include direct transportation to Typhoon Lagoon from the parks. To take advantage of the
complimentary bus service, you'd need to first make your way to
Disney Springs, then transfer to Typhoon Lagoon by bus. At this time, bus service from Disney Springs begins approximately 30 minutes prior to Typhoon Lagoon's opening, with return service ending approximately 60 minutes after the water park closes.
Though I hate to add any more sea salt to the wound, I'd also like to mention that direct bus service is not available between the parks and Disney Springs. You'd need to take the
Disney Skyliner or the
FriendShip Boats from Hollywood Studios to a nearby EPCOT area resort (either Disney's Yacht or Beach Club Resorts or Disney's BoardWalk Inn), then pick up the bus to Disney Springs there.
I know this probably seems like a major sand pile to dig your way out of, so I do have an alternate suggestion. Instead of navigating multiple modes of transportation to get you from the glamour of Hollywood Boulevard to the sandy shores of the
Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, I'd opt for a third-party ride share service for the quickest ride. I've found these providers to be readily available and typically at a reasonable price. You can also opt to travel in style via
Minnie Van Service for an additional fee.
Buckley, I hope this was helpful. If you need guidance on
transportation options between other destinations during your visit, check out the My Disney Experience app's built-in directions feature.
Magic and memories,
Amy
