Does the transportation close 1 hr after the last park closes or does the transportation stop 1 hr after a particular park closes? If I'm @ AK & it closes @ 5pm, can I get a bus back to my hotel (Dolphin) after a 7pm dinner reservation @ Boma? Thanks!

    Hi Terese,

The transportation from a park stops approximately one hour (or even up to two hours) after that particular park closes. So in your example, if the Animal Kingdom closes at 5:00 p.m., then the transportation out of the AK will start winding down at about 6:00 p.m. You would not be able to use the AK as a bus transfer point for a meal that ends well after 7:00.

But no worries, Disney won't leave you stranded.

To get back to your resort, you should take the bus from the AKL to Downtown Disney. The buses run from Downtown Disney to resorts late into the evening, often well after midnight. So, take a bus from AKL to DD, and then a bus from DD to the Dolphin.

However, I will tell you that this will work, but it will be time consuming. You could also just grab a cab at the AKL (Bell Services can call one for you) and you'll be back at the Dolphin within about 15 minutes, rather than the 45 minutes to an hour it might take you using the buses. Of course, the bus is free, but the cab will run you somewhere in the neighborhood of $15.00.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
