Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is one of the premiere events of the season and a great way to celebrate the holidays. Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is the highlight of this event with a special appearance from Santa! There are also themed treats, special character costumes, and snow on Main Street USA to make the night extra magical.
While transportation to Disney Resort hotels will run until the event concludes, that is not always the case with transportation provided by
Good Neighbor Hotels. Disney's Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is a Good Neighbor Hotel that offers access to a paid shuttle service that will take you to the theme parks during normal operating hours. They do have a caveat that shuttles will not run during special events.
If you don't mind a nice evening stroll you have a couple of options. You can walk over to
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa and catch a bus that will take you to the Magic Kingdom. When the party ends, you can jump back on the bus to Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and walk to the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista from there. The last time I visited this was about a 20-minute walk to the Congress Park Bus Stop from the area around the Wyndham.
If you do not want to add any extra steps to your evening because your crew is already exhausted, you can always use a rideshare service to bring you home from Magic Kingdom. I have done this several times and it is super easy. All you do is hop on the monorail and get off at the Transportation and Ticket Center. Once you exit here follow the signs for the ride-share pickup area. It is close to the bus station and is easy to spot. There is typically a cast member in the area if you get a little lost to help you find the right spot to request your ride.
