How does transportation around the parks work for someone staying off property at Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village? This will be our first visit to Disney World and will only be there for a weekend. We normally go to Disneyland.

Hi there, Amy! I am so happy that you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I am sure you are excited to give the Walt Disney World Resort a try and see how it differs from the Disneyland Resort!

Amy, the Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village is a Walt Disney World Good Neighbor® Hotel and mere minutes away from the theme parks. If you have a car with you, you can easily drive to any of the four theme parks, water parks, or Disney Springs.

If you do not have access to a car, it does appear that your hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service between the hotel and Walt Disney World Resort. I would recommend reaching out to your hotel to inquire about the shuttle schedule (particularly where it drops you off) and decide if that is the right method of transportation for your family.

Once you are at the Walt Disney World Resort, any transportation that you will need to use to hop between parks is completely free! This means that you will be able to take full advantage of the Walt Disney World bus system, water transportation, Monorail, and even the all-new Disney Skyliner

I hope that this helped, Amy, and please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can help as you plan your magical getaway. We hope to see you real soon!
