Welcome to planDisney, Vincent, and thanks for this great question. You'll be at
Walt Disney World Resort in just a few days, so let's look at some options to get you from the airport to the magic.
If I had my first choice, a sparkling horse-drawn carriage would whisk me from the Orlando International Airport to my
Disney Resort Hotel, but I've heard those can POOF into pumpkins at any time. Instead, I have some more
dependable options for you.
One of the most economical ways would be to book a shuttle service like Mears Connect, Driven by Sunshine. These buses will transport you and your luggage in air-conditioned comfort to your resort for a fee. You can find information on reservations and costs online, and I recommend booking that as soon as possible if that's what you decide to do.
Another option is to use a ride-share service of your choice. You can schedule a pickup from an app downloaded to your phone, such as Lyft. This option might cost more, but you'd have the privacy of a single vehicle, which would take you directly to your resort. When you exit the airport, look for signs to the pick-up area, and you'll be lounging by your resort pool before you can say Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!
You could also rent a vehicle through the
Car Care Center, which is probably the most expensive option. And if you plan to take advantage of the complimentary
Resort Transportation during your stay to get to and from the theme parks, you won't need a car. But it's another option to consider.
During your visit, I hope you spend some time at the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. In addition to the delectable food at the
Global Marketplaces, my family always enjoys dancing off our dinner at the
Eat to the Beat Concert Series. Just don't lose any glass slippers when the party ends!
Vincent, I hope I've given you some transportation ideas to explore for your upcoming visit. And if all else fails, I'll send that pumpkin coach around. Just look for some cute mice because they'll lead the way! Please
stop by planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
