How do I transfer an unused disneyworld park ticket to another family member before the reserved date.

    Welcome, Dawn!

It looks like your special visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is quickly approaching, as you plan to start the new year in the Most Magical Place on Earth! I’m happy to share how to get your theme park tickets organized prior to arrival.

Please be sure you have your family members added to your Family and Friends list in your My Disney Experience account. I find this easiest to do on the website, but it’s also available in the My Disney Experience App. Once you are connected, you can easily take the next steps to transfer an unused ticket to someone on your list.

Next, please confirm that you have the theme park ticket displayed in your My Disney Experience account. On the website, you’ll find this by navigating to My Plans after logging in. On the page with your plans, scroll down to My Plans, Reservations, and Tickets. On the top left, click the tab labelled Tickets, Passes, and Memory Maker to display a list of your tickets. You will then see a clear option to “Reassign” any individual ticket to someone on your Friends and Family List. Select the desired recipient and complete the intuitive process to finalize this transaction.

On the My Disney Experience App, the process is the same, but you’ll find your tickets under the Tickets and Passes Tile from the main menu (≡). You will see your tickets displayed at the top of the screen with the option to “Reassign” as you scroll through tickets eligible for reassignment. Please be sure that the Guest information is correct and that you have the right age ticket purchased for the new individual in order to finalize this process.

For your visit on New Year’s Day, you will need to make theme park reservations too so please be sure everything is aligned in your plans prior to arrival. I think spending the beginning of a new year in a Disney theme park sounds like a wonderful way to send positive vibes into the whole year ahead. There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow for your family Dawn!

I hope this helps clarify the ticket reassignment process for you. Please let us know if you have any more questions as you begin this fabulous vacation or keep us in mind for your future Disney planning needs.

Wishing you a magical start to 2024,
    Amy
