Hi Charlene,
Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for bringing us all these great questions!
I'm happy to let you know that yes, as long as your theme park ticket is completely unused, it may be
transferred to another Mouseketeer. You'll simply want to find the ticket within
your My Disney Experience account by scrolling down to "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets," then selecting "Tickets & Memory Maker." You'll be able to choose "Reassign Ticket" over on the right-hand side to share the magic with someone else. The person you're reassigning the ticket to must be on your
Family & Friends list, though, so if you don't see their name pop up as an option, please feel free to
add them!
While your ticket expiration date doesn't show up online, you can find that information by clicking the three horizontal lines in the handy dandy
My Disney Experience mobile app and choosing "Tickets and Passes." You'll see that any tickets in your account will show a "Valid Through" date at the bottom. Worried that you won't be able to use your ticket before it expires? The great news is that
the value of any unused but expired tickets may be applied to new ticket purchases, so you never have to worry about losing the money you've already spent on your tickets! Of course, you'll also notice a "Reassign Ticket" option there, too, so if you'd prefer to transfer your ticket through the app, please feel free to do so!
Finally, I'd encourage you to make your
Disney Park Pass reservations as soon as your travel plans are set. While it's always possible to cancel a current reservation and make a new one if your itinerary changes, I'd hate to have you wait to make your Disney Park Pass reservations and then find that the park you want to visit doesn't have any availability. The earlier you can secure your place in the parks, the better!
Thanks again for stopping by planDisney, Charlene, and please feel free to come see us again if you have any additional questions. I hope all of your Disney dreams come true sometime soon!
