Ahoy there, Sheryl, glad you found us!
Looks like you’ll be sailing with
Disney Cruise Line this fall! How exciting! I’m happy to share some information on transportation back to the airport after your cruise!
The most important thing to note is the port you’ll be at after your cruise. If you’re cruising out of
Port Canaveral, the transportation will be easier as it’s closer to MCO. However, if you’re cruising from
Fort Lauderdale it’s more of a trek. Since we don’t have Lightning McQueen handling airport transfers, it will take us a little over 3 hours depending on traffic, to get back to MCO and could be fairly costly. For cruises out of Fort Lauderdale, it’s recommended to fly in and out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) which is just about 15 minutes from Port Everglades. For the most seamless planning of transportation, I recommend you call
Disney Cruise Line Guest Services. They’ll be able to get your transportation sorted before I could even say Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!
Having your transportation taken care of just gets you one step closer to a relaxing time at sea! While you’re out at sea, I recommend using a
DisneyBand+ to make your time even more magical. They’re waterproof and even if the battery dies, you can still use the basic functionality of getting in and out of your stateroom. Make sure to check out all the fun activities while you’re onboard and secure your reservations before they’re all booked.
Well, Sheryl, I hope this has helped and you’re able to get your transportation taken care of soon. I know that you’ll have a magical time at sea! If you have any other questions before your cruise, feel free to
send us another message!
Bon Voyage!
