What is a transatlatic cruise like in regards to boat movement? Also I know sounds odd but is it odd going solo on a cruise for that length. I have always wanted to go but no one I know can get that much time off

Welcome aboard, Jeremiah! A transatlantic cruise with Disney Cruise Line can be a very memorable experience and I do hope that you are able to book one of those cruises on the Magic's next year.

The movement of the ship really depends on the weather and the waves. We've travelled quite a few times on Disney's ships and for the most part, find the voyages to be incredibly smooth. Of course, there are times that weather or the waves cause the boat to rock noticeably, but that is all part of cruising and we've still enjoyed each trip. If you are prone to motion sickness, chat with your doctor about some of the remedies he or she can offer. Also, book a stateroom in the Midship area, on a mid-level deck, where you'll experience less motion than the forward or aft.

Each Disney cruise is unique and each set of guests is unique, but one thing is for certain: there are always singles traveling on Disney Cruise LIne. In fact, Disney offers "Singles Mingles" each day for those who are travelling solo. These are offered throughout the sailings, though they tend to be best attended toward the beginning of the trip. The reason for that is that guests meet, make friends, and then head off on their own activities together throughout the rest of the sailing. So, if you do book this trip on your own, Jeremiah, be sure to check your Personal Navigator onboard and head to the first Singles Mingle so you can meet new friends right away!

With so many activities and events each day for all ages, you're sure to find some that you'll enjoy each day. I hope that helps. Please keep in touch and let me know if you decide to book this cruise! Happy planning!
