Is there a traditional weekend that wine & dine half marathons are held? Trying to guess the dates for 2020. Thank you!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your runDisney question, Annette!

I love runDisney races, and the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon is on my bucket list for several delectable reasons! This year's participants get access to the exclusive Post-Race Party at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and a $15 Disney Promo Card to use at the festival is included with race registration. Plus, you get to start your day with a magical morning run through three Walt Disney World theme parks: Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Epcot

The Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend is typically the first weekend in November. Looking at the 2020 calendar, this gives two possibilities; the Half Marathon will either be held on November 1 or 8.  I know this doesn't help much if you are currently trying to book your trip, but I'd recommend staying tuned to the Disney Parks Blog and the runDisney website for coming information on this celebratory weekend. My guess is the official dates will be released later this fall after the 2019 event takes place.

There are two other spectacular reasons to visit during Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend that I didn't mention earlier. Reason number one: Halloween. Reason number two: Christmas! In past years, the last Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party has been on November 1, and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is held on select nights starting the beginning of November. It's very possible you can get the best of both seasons in one trip!

Good luck planning your Walt Disney World run-cation, Annette!
