Hi Kaitlyn,
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is one of the best holiday events to attend at Disney World. I love how Magic Kingdom is extra special on these evenings with snow on Main Street, special holiday snacks, and an epic parade that ends with Santa Claus!
You will need to purchase tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party separately from your regular
Theme Park Tickets. Theme Park Tickets and event tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, so you will not be able to exchange an existing ticket for a party ticket. That being said, this event is well worth the extra money and I highly recommend looking into attending it if you can.
If you want to see the fireworks show in the evening but are not particularly set on attending the rest of the party, a great way to save money is to plan a dinner reservation at one of the Disney Resort hotels on the monorail. Each of these Resort hotels has an excellent view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks and pipe in the music for you to enjoy while watching from a distance. My favorite place to catch the fireworks is the rooftop after a delightful dinner at
California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort.
The International Festival of the Holidays will also be taking place during this time. It is my favorite way to celebrate the season at Disney World and is included in your daily admission to EPCOT. There are delicious food booths throughout EPCOT, along with storytellers from around the world, that help immerse you in holiday traditions. There is also a Candlelight Processional that is an epic retelling of the Christmas Story by a celebrity narrator, choir, and orchestra. This is a moving way to ring in the holidays.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
