Greetings, Naomi, and welcome to planDisney! Parking your car is step one of your magical day at the Disneyland Resort. You'll be walking along Main Street, U.S.A. soon enough! Let's make sure you're all set for a smooth arrival.
Yes, there are
complimentary buses that operate in both directions between the
Toy Story Parking Area and the Disneyland Resort entrance near Harbor Boulevard. I've always had a good experience parking here. In the morning, Guests typically go through a security checkpoint at the parking area before boarding the buses. That makes for a quicker arrival into the park once you exit the bus. Starting around 12 p.m., Guests typically use the security checkpoint at the Resort main entrance along Harbor Boulevard.
If you prefer to walk, it's doable! It's a little less than one mile straight down Harbor Boulevard and takes around 20 minutes. One tip that I've learned over the years – the line for the bus can get a little long after the nighttime entertainment ends, so you might want to try to catch the bus just before that or spend more time in the park or the
Downtown Disney District before heading back.
It looks like you may be visiting around the time
Paint the Night is ending its current run at Disneyland Park. It's an incredible show with lots of energy, color, and amazing floats. Try to make time for it if you can! Weather permitting, you'll be able to enjoy
Wondrous Journeys with fireworks, too. Check out the
Hours & Events Calendar to see showtimes, park hours, and scheduled refurbishments for the day of your visit.
Naomi, I hope you have a wonderful time at the Happiest Place on Earth. If you think of any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
