Howdy, Christine! I'm guessing you've heard the buzz that's been happening over at
Disney's Hollywood Studios! If you have your heart set on riding Slinky Dog Dash, but you're worried about crowds,
Early Morning Magic - Toy Story Land might be for you. After going down the rabbit hole of research, I booked this special ticketed event for our family vacation this summer- here are the reasons why.
First, Early Morning Magic is a limited-entry event, which means you'll be able to experience this area of the park with fewer Guests (and it's also a perfect opportunity to soak in all those clever Imagineering details). The buses will be running early to Hollywood Studios on these days, so make sure to arrive by 7:10 AM- sometimes the Cast Members will allow you to enter Toy Story Land a few minutes early. At peak times of the day, waits for Slinky Dog Dash can exceed an hour, but during Early Morning Magic, Guests have reported waiting only 5-10 minutes; Alien Swirling Saucers and Toy Story Mania! are usually walk-ons during these mornings. It's very possible to get eight or more attractions done during this 75-minute event. The longest queue there is Woody and Jessie's Meet and Greet, which can be up to a 30-minute wait.
Something else that appealed to me was being in the Park when the temperatures are cooler (which is very important in the summer months), and maybe you'll get a glimpse of the sunrise over
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge! After getting your fill of Slinky Dog Dash, you can fill up on breakfast (which is included) at Backlot Express.
Christine, I bet you'll be oohing and aahing just like those Green Aliens during your trip this summer!
