Are there any tours I could take my 11 year old at the magic kingdom other than the classic ride tour? Looking for a discover things like hidden mickeys tour.

Hello, Patricia, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I asked my 10-year-old daughter for suggestions regarding your question, and without hesitation she said Disney’s Family Magic Tour is a must-do! While the tour is especially tailored to children between the ages of 4 and 10, as with everything at Walt Disney World Resort, it’s good for both the young and the young at heart. My family and I participated in it for my 43rd birthday, and we all had a blast.

Over the course of a couple of hours, you’ll work together to solve clues and embark on a scavenger hunt throughout Magic Kingdom Park. During your adventure, you’ll also experience a couple of classic Magic Kingdom Park attractions and may even be treated to a visit from a special Guest!

Other options may include Disney’s The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour which gives Guests a behind-the-scenes look at the Walt Disney World Railroad and even provides an opportunity to observe Disney engineers in action. The tour departs at 7:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday.

If you really want an exciting day within and beyond Magic Kingdom Park, the Ultimate Day of Thrills VIP Tour would definitely add an extra dose of Magic to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, too.

Hopefully one of these options will work for you and your family, Patricia. Please let us know if you have any additional questions we can help with as you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
