I totally understand the new Disney Springs Bus and Boat restrictions, but if I’m visiting a park am I allowed to try out one of the hotel bars? Or are there people not staying at whatever resort/hotel not allowed to visit. Is resort hopping banned?

Hey there, Hannah, and welcome back to planDisney!

Resort hopping is such a huge part of my Disney vacations. I love diving into all the different themes, trying new snacks, and filling up a few of the iconic blue shopping bags whenever I can. The good news for explorers like us is that resort hopping is definitely not on any ban lists.

If you're already at one of the Disney Parks and want to enjoy one of the fabulous bars at one of the resorts, you're free to head on over via the available Disney Transportation. Per current policy, it looks like the recent changes to transportation only affect Guests heading from Disney Springs to the Disney Resorts Collection hotels. Those Guests will need to have either an Advanced Dining Reservation or a room reservation. For example, leaving Animal Kingdom and catching a bus to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and back for sips at Victoria Falls Lounge is fine. Taking a bus from Disney Springs to go check out Enchanted Rose at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa would be an issue since there's no reservation.

Hannah, I hope I've cleared up any confusion. Enjoy those lounges and have a cocktail for me. You might even want to leave Magic Kingdom and have a little Monorail crawl by hopping off at the resort stops along the way and exploring as you go.  If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back for another chat!

    Happy hopping!
