    Torn between POFQ and POR. Staying 8/2014 and have a 3 and 6 yo. Will be returning to hotel for naps midday. Concerned about bus service during hot and busy season, is FQ best since they get picked up/dropped off first? Will likely use pool. Which is best?

    Hi Amanda,

    My family loves Port Orleans Riverside! It is our favorite moderate resort. However, this January, my husband stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter and we may be switching.

    You are correct that the French Quarter is smaller than Riverside. It also has its own bus from select parks and is first for combined pick ups.

    The pool is super fun and young children really like this pool. Riverside is for the "older" children as it is Tom Sawyerish.  Plus the beignets make this resort a hit with foodies.

    If you are going to come back to the resort during the midday, I think you will have little trouble with either bus. However, stick with French Quarter because I think it suits your children's needs.
