Hi moms! So torn! Just booked for me, dh and dd (will be 15 mths) for 8 nts in Oct at beach Club. Never stayed there and thought it would be a great bc of the pool and the f and w. Now thinking contemp would be more convenient for baby and Mk. Thoughts?

    Hi Elizabeth,

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with another question! My wife and I have taken all three of our children to Walt Disney World as infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We have stayed at a variety of Disney Resort Hotels over the years and Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts are some of our favorites. Our oldest son loved splashing around at Stormalong Bay, which some guests would say is the best water recreation area of the Disney Resort hotels. My wife and I appreciated being able to take a short walk to Epcot, or catching a quick boat ride back to our hotel at the end of the day.

While I personally love Disney's Contemporary Resort, it is not one of my wife's favorite resort hotels to stay at with our children. We have stayed at the Contemporary Resort as a family two different times, and our second stay was not as restful as the first. Our room was across from Chef Mickey's and the music woke our children up early each morning. We also heard the Resort Monorail a lot more clearly than we had during our previous stay. If you decided to change your stay to the Contemporary, depending on where your room is located, you may also experience this. All this is not to say your family would not love a stay at the Contemporary. I am just speaking from our experience. I first stayed at the Contemporary alone while I was down in Florida for a conference. The next time I had my family and we had a great visit. We loved watching the evening fireworks at Magic Kingdom from our room's balcony, and the short walk to Magic Kingdom park was very convenient.

I hope this helps you decide whether you wish to stay at Disney's Beach Club Villas or move to Disney's Contemporary Resort. Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions about your next visit to Walt Disney World.

    Have a magical day,
    Bob
