What is the way to see the top rides at Magic Kingdom…where there isn’t much cross crossing and back and forth across the park, since I will be in an ECV. How can I ride the skyliner? I can walk a little using crutches.

    Hiya, Kimberlie!

I'm so happy to welcome you to planDisney, and I truly appreciate you bringing your question our way! It looks like your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth is just around the corner, which is always an exciting time. I'm sure you're looking forward to your upcoming trip, and I'm so glad you're taking the time now to plan and prepare for all the magic that's ahead.

As a wheelchair user myself, I can confidently share that Walt Disney World Resort offers truly impressive mobility accommodations throughout the parks and resorts. In fact, this level of accessibility is one of the main reasons my family continues to visit year after year. I've been navigating the parks since I was a child, and being able to pass along my firsthand experiences and helpful tips to others is something I genuinely enjoy.

To start, when visiting Magic Kingdom, I always recommend purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass. It's one of the best ways to maximize your time in the park while spending less time waiting in lines. Magic Kingdom has a large number of attractions, which makes it an especially helpful option and giving you more control and flexibility over how your day unfolds.

You'll also be happy to know that most attraction queues can accommodate mobility devices. For the few that cannot, such as "it's a small world," a Cast Member will guide you to an alternate entrance designed for accessibility. While accessibility information is available at the park entrance, I highly recommend reviewing the Magic Kingdom Guide Map for Guests with Disabilities ahead of time. It's an excellent planning tool and can help make navigating your day even smoother.

When it comes to getting around Walt Disney World, you'll be happy to know that all of Disney's complimentary transportation options are designed to accommodate mobility devices. This includes buses, water taxis, the monorail, and yes, even the Disney Skyliner. The skyliner happens to be my personal favorite way to travel around. When using it with an ECV, a Cast Member will direct you to a designated loading area to ensure a smooth and comfortable boarding experience. Once onboard, you'll be treated to a relaxing, bird's-eye view as you glide through the sky. It's such a magical way to travel between destinations.

Kimberlie, I hope this information is helpful as you continue planning your trip. And if you have any other questions about accessibility, like Captain America says, "I can do this all day," so please feel free to reach out to me directly. Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, and I hope you have an amazing visit!

    Magical Wishes,

    Kami
