Hi there Diana,
I'm so excited for you to venture to The Happiest Place on Earth! Thank you for making a magical stop here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
The time change can be hard on everyone especially our young Mouseketeers. You being a fellow Disney fan like me know that the Disney Parks know how to put a celebration on.
Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland Park is one not to miss! Let cross our Mama fingers and toes that your young Mouseketeer sleeps on the plane and then utilizes the candy and cookies during the party for an extra Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah time.
You are going to Walt's original theme park so the history and magic, in and of itself, is something to take in. But arriving here during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is the best. One of my family traditions leading up to a Disneyland visit is to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas. Then we get ready for a spectacular overlay as Jack Skellington and his friends from Halloween Town begin invading the 999 Happy Haunts from inside the Haunted Mansion attraction.
If you decide to book you trip during this time, be sure to buy your Mickey’s Halloween Party tickets as soon as they go on sale in a couple weeks, as it is highly popular and is only held on select nights. Keep checking the Disneyland website for more updates on the spooktacular party.
We have also traveled to the Disneyland Resort during the month on May, the weather is beautiful.
I hope this helps and that you have a pixie-dusted visit. If you have any more questions, please visit me here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel and let me know how I can help you plan your magical vacation.
Wishing you Boo-tastic time!
~ Lynette
