Hiya Ted,
Welcome to planDisney!
I’ll admit it, I’m not the biggest outdoors person; my idea of being in nature borders more on glamping. When I saw the
Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort, I quickly put them on my resort wish list. They are stunning; I especially love all the chipmunk nods in the new Disney Vacation Club cabins! With the help of my fellow panelists and a friendly Cast Member, I found out that check-in for the Cabins is 3 PM EST. If you anticipate an earlier arrival than that, use your
My Disney Experience mobile app to do an online check-in. You can indicate your estimated arrival, and if a cabin becomes available before 3 PM, you may be able to head to your cabin earlier. You can note your estimated arrival, and if a cabin becomes available before 3 PM, you may be able to head to your cabin a little earlier.
I hope this was helpful, Ted. Before I let you go, I know that most people come to Walt Disney World Resort for the theme parks, but there are so many incredible things to do at Fort Wilderness Resort. Be sure to check out the resort's activities calendar and save some room in your itinerary for activities like
Chip ‘N’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long and the
Archery Experience. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
