I have been told that sometimes the resort you stay in will upgrade your room. I have been told in order to have a better chance of getting a room upgrade it is best to check in in person not online is this true? We are staying at the Contemporary.

    Hi Timothy,

Welcome to the Moms Panel.  I've done a little research on room upgrades and the consensus is that you really never know when pixie dust will be showered over you for an upgrade.  Online check in minimizes your face to face time with the Cast Member at the front desk, so it's possible that at hotel check in, you'll have an opportunity to chat with the Cast Member about an upgrade.  Rooms are assigned by the hotel about 3-4 days ahead of time and the hotel tries to match guest requests with availability.  It's been likened to a very large puzzle and sometimes all the pieces fit.  If they don't, you may get an upgrade. My best advice; check in early, ask nicely and see what magic may happen.

    Have a fabulous vacation!

    Be Magical,
