    I was told that at the Royal Table the Princesses do NOT mingle? They're just there to greet and for photos? But at the Akershus Banquet they DO mingle? (This was told to me when I called to reserve, but conflicts with what people that have visited say.)

    I have been to Cinderella's Royal Table many times. Cinderella greets guests in the lobby, posing for photos with guests there. She does not mingle. However, all the other princesses and leading ladies do mingle upstairs with guests in the dining room. They stop at each table, chat, sign autographs and pose for photos. The experience at the Royal Table is quite similar to that at the Akershus. You can expect an equivalent character interaction.
