Hi James!
Thank you for stopping by
planDisney with your question! I am happy to help you get this squared away!
Likely, the recommendation you received was to book a
Theme Park Reservation in advance. The guidelines state that you must have both valid park admission and a park reservation via the Disney Park Pass system to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
But don't worry! The process is super simple and will only take a moment.
You can check the
theme park availability calendar to ensure that the park you want to visit is available on your desired date. I am not sure when you are visiting, but as an example, when I view the theme park availability calendar for August, currently all four of the parks are available every day, so this is great news! You can then book your reservation using the
theme park reservations page. Scroll down to "Make a Park Reservation" and click on "Theme Park Tickets." The next screen will ask you to "Create Your Party," so you will select yourself and any guests you have attending with you. Click "Continue" and then select the date and park.
When you visit, make sure to check out the new
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction at EPCOT! Speaking of EPCOT, consider dining at one of their many wonderful restaurants, such as
Coral Reef or
Le Cellier. You can begin making your
advanced dining reservations 60 days in advance.
I hope you have a magical vacation!
Magically,
Stacy
