Hi Janice,
Welcome to planDisney! This morning was my 60-day window and I too was up bright and early working on my Advance Dining Reservations, which typically become
available at 5:45 a.m. EST. I hope you were able to secure your favorite reservations since submitting your question, but if not, have no fear! I'd be happy to help walk you through the process.
First, be sure your room reservation or your room and ticket package is linked to your
My Disney Experience Mobile App. This will allow you to book dining reservations for your length of stay up to 10 days vs. booking each day individually if you are not a registered Walt Disney World Resort hotel guest. You can do this by navigating to the three horizontal lines at the bottom right of your app and then selecting "Resort Hotel." There, you'll be able to input your Resort Reservation confirmation number.
Once that's been linked you should be able to make dining reservations, subject to availability. This morning I signed on to
My Disney Experience account online and from there searched my desired restaurants one at a time to reserve the date and time for each. I find it easier to search directly on the website vs. sorting and filtering on the app, but I've been able to book successfully using both methods. I always recommend searching by your specific desired times instead of using the filters for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner, as I've personally had better results.
Sometimes there are technical difficulties and you'll see a "Someone Ate the Page" graphic with everyone's favorite Alien, Stitch. In that case, just refresh and try again. If you were hoping to secure very popular reservations like a Character Breakfast at
Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera or dinner at
Space 220 but didn't see open time slots or get an error message, unfortunately, there just may not have been any remaining availability. I'd keep an eye on the reservation pages leading up to your trip as I have had great luck getting hard-to-come-by reservations even on the morning of our arrival day. Guests shift and cancel their plans all the time so I feel confident you'll be able to secure at least some of your top dining options. I'm hoping I'll be able to get a Space 220 reservation for my own trip by keeping a close eye on reservation calendars.
If you are still unable to book dining reservations online or via the app, a Cast Member will be happy to assist you by
phone as well.
I hope this helps! Please feel free to come back and
ask me any additional planning questions as you prepare for your spring vacation.
Magic and memories!
Amy
