I had been told from multi people to bring a hanging organizer to put over the bathroom door on the DCL, but I saw that disney just put a letter that this was not allowed. Do you have an alternative suggestion for all the toiletries etc. for storage?

Welcome aboard, Ashley! You must have a very exciting vacation with Disney Cruise Line coming up! It sounds like you're doing your homework and planning to make the most of your vacation.

You are right that Disney Cruise Line is asking that over-the-door organizers not be used on the ship, as the hooks that go over the door frames can scratch the paint and damage the doors. I do have a couple other ideas for you, as it is nice to have something hanging with pockets for extra storage of those little items.

There are some great hanging jewelry organizers with clear pockets that would work perfectly onboard. Most of these have a hanger (similar to a clothing hanger) on top. Something like this would hang nicely either in your closet or on the towel rack in one one of the bathrooms. They are flat, don't take up much packing space and wouldn't cause any damage to the ship, so they would be perfect! Another idea is to purchase a hanging toiletry bag. My family has a few that fold open and down with multiple pockets and a hanger at the top, to again, go on the towel rack or the clothing rod in the closet. We use those for our toiletries but bringing an empty extra one would serve well as storage for those little necessities. Both of these options, the jewelry organizer and the toiletry bag, have different sized pockets for everything from small items like trading pins to larger pockets for items like sunglasses, hats, sunscreen, as well as pockets of in-between sizes for everything else.

I hope that helps as you plan your cruise, Ashley! Let me know if you have other questions!
