I was told when I made my reservations at the Sci Fi Diner that myself and my 2 daughters could not have a car to eat in. That they were reserved for groups of at least 6 and we would have to set at a table. My daughters were heart broken. Is this true?

    Michael,

That's news to me!  We ate there with a party of 3 and had no problems sitting in a car.  However, since the car was not full we did have another couple join us later, and they sat in the back seat of the car.

When you arrive at the restaurant (preferably early, so you'll have a better chance of getting your request honored) just request a car at the podium.  It cannot be guaranteed because it's popular seating and not everyone can fit, but they will try their best to accommodate you.

I called Disney dining also, and was told that there is no specific policy that restricts cars to large parties, but you should always be prepared to share the car table or to get a regular table because there aren't enough cars to go around.

    There's the scoop!
