I am being told that lightening lanes can't be booked all at once for split stays at two Disney resorts with no gaps on Disneys chat yet I read differently on your site. Which is the truth about the lightening lanes? Isn't this a Disney site

    Hi there Lisa!

Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like your planning game is strong, which will mean extra magical memories for your party on your upcoming visit. Woo hoo, you!  As you know, the pixie dust is always swirling with new and exciting additions and changes at Walt Disney World resort.... so it's always good to double check details before your vacation. My family just utilized the amazing new Lightning Lane Multi Pass on our recent visit to Magic Kingdom, and we really loved this new offering. It truly felt like it helped us maximize our day and get to ride ALL the rides!

I'm happy to confirm that "yes!" you are able to purchase Lightning Lane Passes all at once, for the duration of your split stay at Walt Disney World resort, as long as your dates are contiguous (no gaps in between), for up to a maximum of 14 days. This booking period will open up for you 7 days prior to the check-in date at your first resort, starting at 7:00 am ET. I highly suggest doing so at that exact time, to reserve your top selections!

Just to be extra sure, I checked in with some fellow planDisney panelists, and they verified they have had success in doing this personally. You should be good to go, Lisa! If for any reason you experience issues with purchasing Lightning Lane Passes for the dates of your second resort stay, you can always call Disney Guest Services and they will assist you.

Pro tip: When using a Lightning Lane Multi Pass, make sure to select at least one morning reservation time. Then once you've used that pass, you'll have the opportunity to quickly grab another for the same day while there's still availability for other attractions. Note there are no "tier" restrictions on those additional same day reservations, which is awesome!

With a Disney Resort split stay in your future, I know you'll have an incredible time. I hope this helps answer your question, Lisa. Please feel free to visit us at planDisney again any time.
