Michael, being able to travel to Walt Disney World Resort with the marching band is an experience you and your child will treasure for a lifetime. Our local high school displays their Disney band trophies from their trips in the front lobby and my clarinet playing ten-year-old always presses his face to the glass and says, "I want to do that one day!"
As fantastic as these experiences are, it will be very different than your typical family vacation. This is especially true if you've been to Walt Disney World before and are used to doing all the planning! Band directors usually work with a travel company, and you probably have an itinerary done in advance. If you have already been provided with your theme park tickets, you can try linking them to your
My Disney Experience Account by typing in the
12-digit ID number on the back or call (407) 939-4357 for assistance. However, many school groups will hand out the tickets upon arrival, and the kids will carry them in a lanyard in a plastic holder. In this case, the tickets probably will not be able to be linked to your account.
The great thing about the Dining Vouchers is they are often included in the price of your trip. My friend,
Anne Marie, researched these vouchers when her nieces traveled to the Most Magical Place on Earth with their dance team. These, unfortunately, will not be able to be linked to your MagicBand, but they are valid for a meal at various Counter Service locations throughout the Resort (they typically include an entrée, dessert, and beverage).
Michael, if you think of any more questions, while you're Marking Time, waiting for your trip, please stop back and see us!
