Hello Kate, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Oh my goodness, your magical vacation is only
two sleeps away! I'm so glad you stopped by with your question.
Sometimes those little legs need a rest from walking. Rest assured, strollers are most definitely allowed at all Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks. I think your co-worker might be referring to a
recent announcement regarding a clarification and update of the
park rules. Currently, strollers must be no larger than 36" wide by 52" long. Beginning May 1, 2019 the maximum stroller size will be 31" wide by 52" long. All wagons, whether pushed or pulled, are not permitted. The park rules have been updated to clarify this includes "stroller wagons".
Walt Disney World Resort offers
single or double strollers to rent. These are cart-style molded strollers, in my opinion most suitable for children who can walk but may need a rest from time to time. The strollers are very easy to push and easy for children to climb in and out of, but they are not padded and do not recline for napping. You are welcome to bring your own stroller, as long as it adheres to the size guidelines above. There are also many area companies that offer stroller rentals. You will find Disney Featured Providers in the link above.
I hope that helps! Please feel free to visit us again if you have any additional questions. Be sure to include your arrival date, as that helps us address questions from guests who are arriving in the near future.
Have a wonderful vacation!
