I have been told to book reservations before we go to Disney. But we have not been before and have no idea what restaurants we would like to go to and where things are located. For a first timer, what do you suggest?

Hi, Kathy!  My go to website for information like restaurant menus and reviews is allears.net.  If you click on the tab at the top that says "Dining", it will take you to a list of all of the restaurants - theme park locations, resort options, sit down meals, counter service locations, even snack choices.

As for choosing what type of experience you'd like to have, if you think you want a character meal, there will be a link on the left side after you are in the Dining tab that tells you where the characters dine.  If there is a particular resort you want to visit, click the link on the left for resort hotels, and it will list the hotels and your dining choices at each one.  It is a very thorough list.

You don't say whether you are traveling with children, or what types of food your family likes to eat, but some of our favorite dining locations include Jiko at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, for a signature meal that we have always truly enjoyed.  We like the character buffet at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort both for the variety of food and the character interaction.  At EPCOT, you will find flavors from around the world, but my family enjoys Teppan Edo in the Japan Pavilion or Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco.

Check out the menus first and see if there is anything that peaks your interest.  If I can answer any other questions from there, you know where to find me!
