We were told that we were able to buy discounted tickets for Mickey's Christmas Party for a non retired veteran and when he went to buy them he was told he had to buy them in September. Is this true? This was never told to him.

Hi there, Robin. Thank you for your family's service and sacrifice.

Active duty and retired members of the United States Military, including members of the U.S. National Guard and participating members of the National Guard are eligible to purchase discounted passes to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. The discounted tickets are available on select nights - 9, 12, 13, and 15 November 2018.

These discounted special event tickets can be purchased at any Walt Disney World ticket or Guest Services locations, as well as through Shades of Green. The Shades of Green tickets are available in person or, new this year, they will mail the tickets to you. I'd recommend, however, that if you are going to take advantage of one of these nights, don't rely on the tickets getting to you by mail. Purchase them in person.

The party, which takes place at the Magic Kingdom theme park, is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season. With Christmas shows and parades, special fireworks, and even some holiday treats, it's a fun-filled night of Christmas spirit.

Thank you for your question, Robin.
