Hi, can you take toddlers into sci-fi dine? Can they accommodate high chairs for 2 infants?

    Hi John!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. It's great to see you return so that we can help you plan your Winter vacation!

The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant is one of our family's favorite places in Disney's Hollywood Studios. We never miss an opportunity to grab a seat in a car, take in some quirky movies, and enjoy a fun meal. Don't forget to leave room for dessert - especially a warm glazed donut topped with cinnamon apples. You really won't regret it!

The Sci-Fi Dine-In Restaurant has two different types of car tables. The first style is a booth which guests must slide into, but the second style is a car that contains a longer table. When dining with toddlers in high chairs, the guests will be seated at the tables. With these car tables, the chairs can easily be replaced by the high chairs. When you check-in for your meal, simply let the Cast Member know that you'll require two high chairs for your children.

One thing to note about the movies at restaurant is that they are kitschy, quirky science fiction. While my kids always felt they were funny and amusing, they do contain some very short clips of giant bugs, robots, and even the 50-ft woman. Depending on your children, they may have fun with this or they may be a little taken aback.

Since this restaurant is very popular with guests, I would recommend trying to make a reservation approximately 180 days in advance of your arrival. The easiest way to make a dining reservation is via the online dining reservation section of the Walt Disney World website. It is quick, easy, and only takes a few minutes!

While you're visiting, don't forget to check out the holiday decorations throughout Disney's Hollywood Studios. Last year, the park hosted a 65-ft tall Christmas Tree and many other special decorations throughout the park. Toy Story Land is often home to some super cute holiday touches that you won't want to miss!

Thanks again for allowing us to help plan your trip! I hope you visit us again soon!
