Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! The answer is yes. You do not have to add the Park Hopper Option to your theme park tickets in order to leave a park and then return to that same park on that same day. We always went back to our Disney Resort hotel for a midday nap when my children were toddlers. In fact, my family just returned from the Walt Disney World Resort on Tuesday and during our trip, my teenagers wanted to go back for an afternoon nap on two separate days. When taking an afternoon nap, I always find that everyone is able to enjoy the nighttime activities much more.
