Giraffes at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

    Hi, my toddler gets motion sick on bus/car. How long (miles) of a walk is it, from animal kingdom kilani resort, to the animal kingdom theme park? Is there a train or tram, from kilani village resort, to magic kingdom park? Thanks!

    Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

    There is no tram or other non-bus alternative between Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, unfortunately. The walk between the two is about 1 1/2 miles (2 1/2 km). While I have never made that walk myself, I can tell you that for much of the walk, there are no sidewalks, so I would advise against trying. It may even be prohibited to walk along that parkway.

    The transportation to the Magic Kingdom is also via bus. 

    So what are you to do? Well, even though it might entail an added cost for you, I would have to suggest you use a taxi or ride-share so that your time in transportation is minimized compared to a bus ride. The Disney Minnie Van Service Connected by Lyft could be a wonderful surprise, as the Disney cast members can get you closer to the front gates faster than the alternatives. 

    BONUS TIP
    While I am a huge fan of the Animal Kingdom Lodge resorts, would moving to a monorail or Disney Skyliner-adjacent resort resolve some of the challenges of motion sickness? Now that we have Disney Vacation Club alternatives on both routes, it could be something to look into.
