My toddler is allergic to garlic, which is a pretty rare allergy and it's in so many things. At quick service restaurants, are cast members typically able to tell you what ingredients are in certain foods? E.g. the ingredients list for the hot dogs?

    Hi Alicia! Welcome to planDisney!

At Walt Disney World Resort, Cast Members always seem to be willing to go a little above and beyond to make their Guests comfortable and happy. In fact, members of my team here at planDisney just shared special times when Cast Members created magic for them during their vacations on the planDisney Instagram.

Taking a toddler to Walt Disney World is such a treat.  I've taken all three of my kids as toddlers and have to say that it is so special to watch their little faces light up as they ride through "it's a small world" or meet Mickey Mouse for the very first time! I'm so excited to take my little guy, who is still a toddler, back to The Most Magical Place on Earth again soon!

When it comes to your toddler's allergy I think you'll find that Cast Members do their absolute best to provide you guidance on choosing allergy-friendly meals or making accommodations. In fact, you may want to check out the Special Dietary Requests page on the Walt Disney World Resort website to see all the ways Walt Disney World Cast Members work to provide you and your child with a safe dining experience.

While many quick-service locations throughout the Resort do have allergy-friendly options right on their online menus, these tend to be for more common allergies like soy, eggs, dairy, etc.  At carts, kiosks and quick-service locations you may be able to see a packaged item to check its list of ingredients or be given a list of ingredients included in your chosen option, though this is not guaranteed. You can also ask to speak with a special diets-trained Cast Member to help you with your options, though this may require a longer wait.

I think your best bet to totally enjoy your vacation may be to email special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com before you even leave home.  The Cast Members here will be able to guide you through accommodating your child's allergy even at quick-service dining locations. At table-service dining locations, you will most likely be able to add your dietary requests when you make your reservations online or through the My Disney Experience mobile app and when you arrive at your restaurant. Many times you'll even be able to speak with the Chef about your allergies and requests.

Don't forget that you're also welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks into the Parks, so if your little one has some yummy favorites, pack them in the stroller and get ready to roll! You're going to have a wonderful stay at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
