Today is the first day we can make dining reservations, and every character reservation for a party of 5 is already gone. We will have 2 adults, 1 6-year-old, and 2 3-year-olds. If we make a 4-person reservation, will they work with us to fit us all in?

    Hi Becky!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! Oh, how I can relate to your current situation. My 180 day window just opened up for Advanced Dining Reservations as well, and I found that many of my top options were already booked. But do not fear! I have found that when I check back closer to the date of my trip, openings become available. During my last trip I was trying to score a reservation at Le Cellier. It was booked up during my 180 day window, but opened up a few days before our arrival.

Unfortunately you will be unable to book a reservation for four people if five will arrive. If you do that, one person will not be seated during your reservation as they cannot fit in more guests than have booked.

I also suggest checking for reservations during "off" times, such as 2 or 3 for lunch or 5 or 9 for dinner. I have found this works for me.

I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
