Hello! Tks for all your hard work! My son is doing pirate makeover and then pirates and pals cruise. He asked that we parents dress in pirate shirt/ jeans or pirate shirt/skirt for cruise/and or parks/pictures.No hats or accessories- is that permissable?

No matter what you decide, you'll be fine at the Pirates and Pals cruise. There are specifically stated prohibitions against adults wearing costumes at the theme parks, but there are no similar rules for the resorts.

As for the parks, adults are not allowed to wear costumes other than at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Whether what your wear in the park looks like a costume is a bit of a judgment call. Jeans and/or a denim skirt would be no problem at all. You'll find thousands of guests wearing these every day. Also "pirate shirt" is subjective, and would likely not be considered a costume. However, if you start to wear an eye patch and carry a sword, you're going to drift into costume-land. Just take a look at what you're wearing -- if you think that you could go to the mall and not have people think you were in costume, then you're probably OK.

I took the Pirate and Pals cruise with my family a few months ago. We had a great time. Enjoy!
