Hey Emilie,
It's great to assist a fellow Georgian! As a mom of four which includes a set of twins, I have mastered traveling to the
Walt Disney World Resort with multiples. I recommend bringing your stroller(s) from home since they are more accustomed to the feel and can be used both inside and outside of the parks.
If your budget allows, consider staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa due to the close proximity to Magic Kingdom Park and being able to easily travel back for an afternoon nap via monorail. One of our biggest challenges with multiples involved getting to the parks. When traveling by bus, strollers must be collapsed. It was quite challenging after a long day to have one parent load the stroller while the other parent carried two sleeping toddlers. I have never been asked to fold a stroller on the monorail. If you will be staying at a resort that requires bus transportation, I recommend driving to the theme parks. Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel receive complimentary parking at all theme parks.
Be sure to book an
Advanced Dining Reservation for a Character Dining experience as kids under the age of 3 are free when sharing from an adult's plate. You'll love having the Disney Characters stop by your table for photos while enjoying a delicious meal. We found Table-Service restaurants to be easier as we had a designated table and high chairs and didn't have to search for both at Quick-Service restaurants. We also loved having a moment to sit down and relax.
I'm out of room for my answer, but please visit me again with any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical trip!
Happy Planning,
Jodie
