Hi Tamara! I think a first time visit to Walt Disney World sounds absolutely fantastic! I can't think of a more magical destination to enjoy with your family. I still have souvenirs from my first visit to the parks in 1986, they are items I will cherish forever.
When you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort, be sure to stop at guest services for a special First Visit button for you and your family. It is sure to get you lots of smiles throughout your visit, and they make a great scrapbook or keepsake item. I also recommend buying a pair of iconic Mickey ears that can be customized with your name, these can be found in many shops throughout the theme parks. After you buy your cool new ears, why not show them off to the Big Cheese himself at Town Square Theater. Mickey is sure to love them and may even surprise you with a magic trick!
Have you considered at character meal? This is a great way for your family to meet many beloved Disney characters without having to wait in lines. You can book a meal
online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE, or (407) 939-3463. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made up to 180 days in advance of your trip. Some of my favorite meals are
The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom, and
The Garden Grill Restaurant at Epcot.
However you spend your time on your first vacation, I know it will be magical because you will be with your family making everlasting memories. If you think of any other questions please let me or any of my pals know, we love to help.
Have a Disney Day,
~Jen
