    Hello! What tips can you share regarding best arrival time for "rope drop" at Magic Kingdom? We will arrive on October 9 and have never experienced this event. We are also Chase Disney card owners. Thanks!

    Hi, Tracy!
    The rope drop at Magic Kingdom Park is unlike the rope drop at any of the other three parks. That's because it includes a show!

    My family has made a point of arriving early enough for the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show a couple of times in our visits to Walt Disney World Resort. We arrive an hour before the park opens because we wanted to make sure we had enough time to go through security and the ticket area so we could stand and watch the show at the Main Street U.S.A. train station. 

    The performance happens about 20 minutes before the park opens. It's such a fun way to start your unforgettable day! I hope you love it as much as we do!
