Hi! What are some tips to get a good spot at Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? Any other tips for the Party?

    Boo to you, Jennifer.

I’m so glad your Doom Buggy took a detour and brought you here to planDisney today. Having a Walt Disney World Resort vacation on the horizon during the spookiest time of year is more fun than a swinging wake, don’t you think?

I’ve been lucky enough to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party several times over the past few years, and it’s always an evening full of ghoulish delight. I’m so glad you will be experiencing the event on your upcoming trip and would be happy to share some of the cryptic details to help you have a fang-tastic time.

    • In order to take full advantage of your ticket, I highly recommend arriving at Magic Kingdom Park by 4:00 p.m., the time when ticketed Guests will be permitted to enter. You’ll be able to preview the event guide well ahead of the official start time to map out your plans for the event itself. If you want an even greater head start on planning out your evening, search “event guide” in your My Disney Experience mobile app to look through the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party event guide now.
    • Set a reminder on your mobile device to join the virtual queue for TRON Lightcycle / Run at 6:00 p.m. on the dot on your respective party date. There will not be a standby queue available during the party, so you can only experience the attraction via the virtual queue.
    • Find out which attractions have a special Halloween twist, and make plans to experience them during the event.
    • Check out the special Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots that will be available during the event. Choose your must-do photo ops and add them to your itinerary.
    • In my experience, the second performance of Mickey’s "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade tends to be less crowded than the first. I know most people automatically want to watch the parade on Main Street, U.S.A., but if having Cinderella Castle in view isn’t necessary for you, I suggest finding a viewing spot in Frontierland. You will be one of the first Guests to see the parade since it begins in Frontierland and will be able to easily pop over to Pirates of the Caribbean or Big Thunder Mountain Railroad when the parade ends while the people on Main Street, U.S.A. are still waiting for most of the floats to reach them. If you prefer to have a view of Cinderella Castle as the parade passes by, then I suggest finding a spot on Main Street, U.S.A. at least 45 minutes ahead of the performance time.
We’ve got 999 happy questions here at planDisney, but there’s always room for 1,000 if you want to volunteer another one before you set off on your vacation, Jennifer. Have a spooktacular trip!

    Hurry back,
    Alyssa
